Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament

Aspirancy-College Formation Program

The Blessed Sacrament College Formation Program is for college-age men who have made the choice to study in an undergraduate seminary setting while they discern the Lord’s call to life as a Blessed Sacrament Religious.

At Borromeo Seminary, Blessed Sacrament Aspirants come to appreciate the distinctiveness of a vocation to the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. Borromeo is located just minutes from the Cleveland Blessed Sacrament Community which serves Saint Paschal Baylon Parish and is also our national headquarters.

Founded in 1856 by Saint Peter Julian Eymard, the mission of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament is to respond to the hungers of the human family with the riches of God’s love manifested in the Eucharist (Rule of Life #3). The religious community of priests and brothers has a deep love for Christ and His Church. They proclaim Christ’s Eucharistic presence in the world through sacramental ministry, writing, teaching, preaching, and works of mercy. Faithful to the tradition received from their holy Founder, Blessed Sacrament priests and brothers spend at least one hour each day in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This prayer life forms part of their mission and charism.
