Welcome to Borromeo Seminary!

Mission and Purpose

Borromeo Seminary, the college seminary in the Diocese of Cleveland, is a community in which men discern the call to and are formed for diocesan priesthood or religious life through the integration of human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral formation.

(Adopted 22 March 2010)

New President-Rector Named!

It is with joy that we announce that Bishop Richard Lennon has appointed the Reverend Mark A. Latcovich as President-Rector of Borromeo and Saint Mary Seminaries.  In Fr. Latcovich’s letter of appointment Bishop Lennon wrote:

“After proper consultation, I hereby appoint you President-Rector of Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology and President-Rector of Borromeo Seminary effective 1 July 2013.  Thank you for your willingness to serve the Church of Cleveland in this capacity…”

Please continue to pray for Fr. Latcovich as he assumes the responsibilities and ministry so important to the Church of Cleveland.

Borromeo Seminary is preparing to say goodbye to Father Tom Dragga, the President-Rector of Borromeo. He has accepted a new assignment outside of the diocese after serving this community for seventeen years...we will miss him but wish him all the best in his new ministry. Father Dragga will be leaving us on June 30, 2013. Our prayers and best wishes go with you, Father Dragga!

We also welcome Father Andy Turner, who has been appointed to the Borromeo Seminary faculty as the Director of Human Formation! His appointment is effective July 1, 2013. Welcome, Father Turner!
