Rev. Andrew B. Turner, STL, D.Min.

Father Andrew Turner was raised in Hudson, Ohio, and ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland on May 13, 2006. He was appointed President-Rector of Borromeo Seminary in 2023. 

His first parish assignments were Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Wickliffe (2006-2010) and Saint John Neumann, Strongsville (2010-2013), after which he was appointed Vice-Rector of Borromeo Seminary and Director of Pastoral Field Education at Saint Mary Seminary. In 2019 he completed studies for both a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit), and a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Saint Mary Seminary. In 2022, Fr. Turner was invited to Washington, D.C., to serve as a consultant to the USCCB on the implimentation of the Program for Priestly Formation, sixth edition.

Before becoming a priest, Father Turner graduated from Ohio University (Athens) in 1998 with a B.S. in Organizational Communication and spent several years as a consultant for Ernst & Young, LLP.  Over the last two decades he has helped organize the annual Diocesan Catholic Family Festival, The FEST, led missionary trips for youth and adults in the Dominican Republic, and has presented and led retreats for priests, youth, and young adults around the region. 

Father Turner is a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He has published articles on seminary formation in several professional journals, received grant awards totaling over one million dollars for his work in seminary formation, and is the developer of the seminary’s innovative online portfolio system, Percorso (
